me and DP get married 29th may in a civil ceremony.
i just realised that our registrar sent an email a while back stating that the final balance ‘should be paid at least 6 weeks before’
now its just under 5 weeks but i will be calling them first thing tomorrow and paying it but im panicking thinking if they will turn around and cancel the whole thing!
😩

They will accept payment, if they were going to cancel they will have contacted you with a reminder.

It will say on the council website, seemingly many of them say they will not send reminders @Lomonald

Phone first thing op, apologise profusely and hopefully things will all goes smoothly.
Good luck 🍀

I also didn't pay for our registry office ceremony. I was a couple of weeks late. Just phoned them and paid, they didn't seem fussed at all!
