And to whom?
Basically we had someone repairing something in our home the other day and my husband was making a smalltalk.
I do have to say he is not great at guiding topics or keeping them superficial, and not sure where they started off but as I was passing by the kitchen the guy was pretty much ranting against DEI policies but not in any constructive or argumentative way - he was using the topic to vent out and use derogatory terms against certain groups, lots of negative generalising and also moving into crime rates topic...It was pretty much a monologue, and when he left my husbands first words were - we are not using this company again...
I was quite upset with my husband that he allowed this topic to come up at all and clearly making this man comfortable to share such views....but I was also shocked that this is now acceptable behaviour.
Hence the topic - is this actually acceptable?
I rarely put in complaints with employers when it comes to handyman, so not sure exactly how to go about this, but it had left me feeling both uncomfortable and scared tbh
