To want to stop getting colds?

So it's a lovely sunny day, and I've got another cold. Headache, runny nose, puffy face.

I seem to get every single cold going and I just want to stop it happening.

I eat healthy, moderate exercise, basically don't drink, 8 hours sleep etc. Hand wash

Have had blood tests by gp for anything underlying.

But I get a cold every month or six weeks .

So please tell me what I need to do to boost my immune system, so that I don't get a cold constantly

Vitamin D. Probiotic. Vit C at least 1000mg and Zinc.

I don't know about building your immune system but having heard about it on here, I now use Vicks First Defence at the first sign of a cold (itchy throat) and whenever I fly. Haven't had a cold since.

High dose vitamin C, zinc and echinacea as soon as anyone around you gets a sniffle, or you start to feel one coming on. I take 2-3x the usual daily dose of vitamin C and zinc.

I am immunocompromised (cancer) and I truly get a proper cold at most once a year, maybe 2 years.

Do consider whether it might also be allergies. Dh ‘got a cold’ every month and was convinced we were all making him sick (despite me, as above, never getting colds). It turns out he has an allergy to dust mites.

And yes, agree with daily Vitamin D. It’s the only regular supplement I take. 8000 IU.
