Quite a few people, Republicans mainly, trying to characterise Trump’s actions as some kind of political masterstroke.

AIBU to think they’re dreadful people and part of the problem?

The last couple of days have been a new low from this shit show American administration, and essentially Trump clearing up his own stupid mess.

"No more wars" was the slogan, wan't it?

Yep, it really shows what a terrible deal maker he is. No state craft, no negotiation, no persuasion. Just having a rich boy tantrum until he gets his way. But he didn't even get that, Iran didn't blink, and Pakistan had to provide the off ramp. He just pushed the responsibility for peace onto them. Meanwhile a whole nation of people put their children to bed not knowing if they would all wake up. All Trump has achieved are financial charges in the Strait where none were before, a strengthened union between Iran and it's proxies, China and Russia, and a move away from the dollar. The people of Iran will now see the West as a monster, and hold tighter to the Iranian regime. Meanwhile 1.1 million people in Lebanon are now without homes.

Trump isn't a diplomat or a politician.

He is a businessman.

He makes deals with a lot of huff, puff and bluff.

He was voted in because he wasn't a diplomat or a politician but a businessman.

And now some people don't like it.

Tough.

You got what you voted for 🙂

PS Trump isn't bombing Lebanon.
