Impossible to find a 'normal' martini these days

Fed up of each and every pub or cocktail bar having a range of various different flavours of various classic cocktails, under the heading no less of 'classic cocktails'

NO bar tender, an espresso martini is not a 'classic cocktail'

Turned up one place the other day and they couldnt even do a normal martini as they didnt even have any vermouth!!!

Everything is so horribly sweet these days.

If you go to proper cocktail bars you can get a martini. If you go to pubs/bars that do a few cocktails alongside normal pub range you will get cocktail style drinks made from pre-mix.

Where do you live? I recommend Dukes, London for the best martini.

I don't like 'alcopops' style cocktails. Pornstar/passionfruit martini can get in the bin. I do like as espresso martini as an after dinner drink though!

These are proper cocktail bars!! I cant list them all as Im not really just talking about this week or this month, its a creeping invasion of 'wrong' drinks. Not just where we live but whether we're away or going out somewhere else
