April Fools gone too far?

Anyone had one go too far? What do you think about landlords sending notices to tenants that they have to leave by the end of the month? That’s what my friend received today. Am I not much fun or is that a pretty shitty thing to do? The notice was written completely seriously. Normally I’d expect some giveaway clue but there wasn’t one.

That is not April Fools. A lot of landlords are serving notices to tenants ahead of the upcoming changes to how landlords run things.
AFAIK, they should have been given 2 months notice.

She should have been given more notice but tbh a lot of landlords are having to sell up as it’s not really agreeable to be a landlord anymore and with the new renters bill coming in in May, landlords are having to decide now whether to let tenants go before selling or stick with it long term
