Posting here for traffic.

I have a niggly sharp pain in my lower right pelvic area which started about 10 days ago (around cycle day 12) I assumed it would be ovulation so tried to not worry. I’m assuming now I would have ovulated but the pain is only getting worse. It’s not a bend double, I’m in agony pain but it’s a constant, nagging, stabbing, can’t get comfortable pain.
i can eat ok, no nausea or gastro symptoms.
im wondering if it’s an ovarian cyst? I’ve had one on scans before but then on the repeat scan there was no sign.

obviously it’s Easter coming up and we go on holiday on Tuesday. I don’t want to go to a&e as I say I’m not bent double but is it something worth going to GP for?

No harm in trying to get a GP appointment before Easter

MyNameIsTina · 30/03/2026 23:18

Of course it's worth consulting the GP about. Get it done! Hopefully you can have a great holiday afterwards.

Yes, this is what a GP is for!

RJsMummy88 · 30/03/2026 23:25

Thanks everyone, I’ll contact them in the morning!

Or you can pay for a private ultrasound to check. This one’s near me but they are all over. Make sure it’s a trained radiologist. www.ultrasound-direct.com/services/health/well-woman-pelvic-scan

I had similar and had a 4cm cyst. I’m going back in a while to check it’s gone.

Daffodils65 · 30/03/2026 23:27

I dont understand, why would it be unreasonable to see your GP about pain?

BashfulClam · 30/03/2026 23:36

I have this, have had an ultrasound and all sorts of tests. Still have the pain and no answers. Right side as well.

Hope you get in before Easter OP. I can’t get an apt at mine until May

Thanks everyone. Turns out I had a raging UTI - who knew as I had no urinary symptoms at all. I got in the next day and antibiotics cleared it up 😊
