(Lighthearted!)

Is anyone else NOT loving the return of the brighter evenings?

I have to say I love seeing the dark nights roll in, being able to cosy up on the sofa with candles, lamps and blankets and watch TV without feeling remotely guilty about it. Ds going to sleep super easy because he's seen it get dark and knows it's that time.

As a lone parent of a small child I feel a bit trapped in the house when it's a nice evening and he's in bed! Like I should be out making the most of it and I can't!

So
YABU- Wise up bright nights are the best
YANBU- I also love the dark evening coziness

I’m torn. I hate all the people walking past looking in my window on lighter nights (can’t have blinds or shudders net curtains as dogs destroy them) and I love closing the curtains and the cosiness of being inside in the dry and warmth (which isn’t guaranteed in the summer here) when it’s cold and wet outside but I love a warm sunny night where I can sit out or be out walking late into the evening too. I might feel more favourable towards the light nights if I lived in a country with more than a week or two of sunshine and warmth each year
