Peeing alot today or rather peeing frequently, sometimes full bladder, sometimes not. No actual pain on stinging on urinating but a bit of dull ache in lower back.
I feel generally not great though, hot & cold but mild. Bit also have this sort of hot feeling in vulva, not like its on fire and its not itchy but feels irritated when I'm walking around as if standing/walking aggravated further. I think possibly a UTI as I remember having similar. I tend to get a bit of health anxiety particularly around anything gynae as I had a hugely traumatic birth 14 years ago resulting in acute injuries. If it was anything like a prolapse would I be able to clearly feel something hanging down? This is more like hot a hot/mild heaviness, burning. I'm 44. No perimenopause symptoms yet. Not mad itchy or anything, not really itchy at all, maybe slightly

If you can get to a chemist where there's a pharmacist, they can diagnose UTIs and prescribe treatment. Best to be seen ASAP, they can tell you if you need further investigation.

CrazyCatLady13 · 27/03/2026 19:57

Pharmacists can give treatment for a UTI, can you take a sample in?

Ninerainbows · 27/03/2026 20:00

When I had this it was a kidney infection. I would see a pharmacist but make it clear you have back pain.

Travelfairy · 27/03/2026 20:02

I actually have an antibiotic here. I didnt know pharmacists can diagnose that now (I'm in Ireland) do you think thats what it sounds like? UTI?

If you get the pharmacist to dip test your wee, they can give you the right antibiotic. Sounds like a UTI or kidney infection.

Auroraloves · 27/03/2026 20:09

Don’t use the antibiotic you already have. You may need a specific type

Hope you get sorted. I once had cystitis and was already in a course of antibiotics for something else so I wrongly thought the y would clear my cystitis. It did go away but then a week later returned but 10 times more painful.
