No meconium 24 hours

Anyone been through this? Delivered a baby boy by C section 38 weeks yesterday and no meconium at delivery as far as I am aware and nil since delivering.

I am getting so worried. He is feeding well (formula with some colostrum), no vomiting or abdominal distension and plenty of wet nappies.

Are you not still in hospital? If not phone the midwives and speak to them

Stop reading online and listen to the medical professionals. Google will tell you everything is dangerous, the midwives actually no from experience what they are talking about.

Congratulations on the birth! Have you seen any meconium yet?

You are in hospital. Listen to the midwifes, they know what they are talking about. Both my kids had meconium after 36 hours. Don't worry

Put a nice clean top on, take his nappy off and give him a lovely cuddle. That’ll solve the problem!

In ds’s case he waited 24 hours especially for the 3 minutes of nappy free time it takes for the doctor to do the newborn hip check. And then he produced what could best be described as an avalanche. And looked smug. 😂
