Feeling a bit annoyed here too if it helps. My kids didnt bother doing anything (again) so my husband went off and bought me a cheeseboard and cheese. We already have a cheeseboard and the cheese is blue cheese which I dont eat. I haven't eaten cheese in a long time.

Just feeling down as I do so much for them but they couldn't care less. Be fine again tomoro but having a little pity party for myself right now.

I was recently with DS and he'd bought a rather expensive steam mop (£140). He actually enjoys cleaning (the mad fool) and was joking he might wrap it up as a gift for DIL. She obviously knew he was joking, but DH piped up that he knew if he even considered any practical present I'd stick it up his arse. He wasn't wrong!
I'm shocked your DH would even consider this a gift, even if it arrived surrounded by flowers and chocolates.

Were they cute items like baby grows or toys? Or wipes and nappies? I think if it were something especially sweet like an outfit with a cute slogan on it etc I’d be happy. But perhaps not nappies 😂
