Fed up of compromise

Just to say I really love my husband and we’ve been together a long time but oh my God I do wish I could have my own way sometimes.

whether it’s what house to buy, what holiday to book, what colour kitchen cabinets to have, we always have to compromise as we don’t have the same taste so neither of us gets what we want.

I know this is the “right” thing to do and we don’t exactly fall out over any decisions as we both realise we can’t impose our will on the other but I would so love to just choose exactly what I want once in a while.

aAnylne else feel the same?

I used to feel the same so in the end i just used to go and get what i wanted.

Turns out, ex didn't really care, he was just being awkward and argumentative.

I must be very lucky because my DH doesn’t care about stuff like that so I get to choose what I want thankfully

In this scenario I choose some things DH others. We had the house rewired a while ago. DH chose all the light fittings. When the kitchen was done I chose the taps etc etc.

Even though I’m not a fan of the light fittings I like the fact that my husband got pleasure out of what he chose.

Compromise pleases no one

Im so grateful my partner doesn't give a shit about this sort of stuff because I really struggle with not getting my own way
