I left my jacket in Venice, at my hotel, after a limoncello spritz with lunch and the fear of a baggage handler’s strike on my mind…!
The hotel have been lovely and put me in tough with their “posting things back to inept tourists who leave bits behind” person, but the cost to courier it back with insurance etc that they use is a bit ridiculous.
if there is a kind soul who is going to Venice any time soon, who would be willing to pop my coat (it is pretty lightweight/squashable and spent most of the trip in my handbag) in their luggage when they return? I would be able to email you a prepaid postage label so you would only need to tape it into a carrier bag and scan it in at a post office or parcel shop of your choice upon your return?
I know it is a long shot, I have accepted its loss, but thought it was worth throwing myself on the mercy of mumsnet!
The hotel is a few minutes walk from the Rialto bridge
