I don’t know what will get doctors will offer you a hysterectomy, but your symptoms sound very serious. You need to carry on turning up at the GP and getting referred for investigation until it is sorted out. It is very stressful but you have to stick at it. Keep on keeping on.

Maybe I should refer you to the gynae I have seen. Nowhere near your symptoms and I have no kids but because I have Fibroids they all seem to just want to yank my uterus out.

I have heard of American medics refusing these/asking you to ask your husband (really) but not here, unless maybe there's a health reason? Keep going back to the GP and make sure it's on record you have asked, and been refused.
To PP, with fibroids, depending on size/position, they can go on causing issues once out, if the uterus is still there, so that might be why they try to push that to avoid you needing to go back (they did with me but at the time I wanted another child so I refused).

I think it’s because a myemectomy is a more complicated operation and they wanted the easier option. Luckily I can advocate for myself and a hysterectomy is not an option I am ever going for. (I had a UFE but will have a myemectomy at some point to remove the bulk). It’s not simply them wanting to perform a hysterectomy, it’s the sheer dismissiveness I faced by gynaes who could not understand why a woman who wants kids may not want a hysterectomy.

I just find it funny that the women begging for hysterectomies are told “no”. Those desperate to avoid them have to constantly fight with surgeons who want them to do otherwise.

I know 3 women personally your age who has been offered and had hysterectomies in the last 6 months at my work - all on the employee private healthcare - do you have any health insurance via work?

I know this is an old thread but just wondered if anyone could pm me recommendations for a consultant that has gone along with your wishes for a hysterectomy.
