Does anyone work for UC/DWP or have knowledge to advise me?

Posting here for traffic.

We are having our first review. I’m quite anxious about it as I have AUDHD and tend to overthink everything.

Can someone explain to me whether if you go slightly over £6k once you’ve been paid but then by the end of the assessment period it comes down to below £6k again - is that ok?

Also once you upload bank statements (we did ours yesterday) how long until you might hear back? I’m on edge about it at the moment.

Have you told the Jobcentre about your AUDHD? If not, do, they will be able to make reasonable adjustments such as making face to face appointments at quieter times of the day, at a desk away from busy, noisy areas, phone appointments that kind of thing.

Assume you're talking about earnings here? Yes, that's fine. Your UC will be adjusted accordingly.

I'm afraid this depends, it could be a couple of days or a couple of weeks. Have they made an appointment for the review team to phone you?

Easy for me to say, I know, but try not to be concerned, it's all part of the process to check your entitlement, nothing to worry about.

In answer to your questions:

  1. Yes, UC do know, I’m on LCWRA too. But I will tell them again how anxious it’s making me once I have my phone review.

  2. I know you’re not supposed to go over £6k but I guess my worry is that when we get wages/benefits the amount goes slightly over £6k but by end of the assessment period it’s back down again to under. Once bills, mortgage etc have come out.

  3. No, I’ve had no communication about a phone appointment yet.
