Tested today 5 days post a 5 day transfer and I’m spiralling as got a negative. So scared of yet another failed cycle 😭

I'm not familiar with IVF testing and what that means but just wanted to send you a hug.

Overthebow · 01/03/2026 08:34

I haven’t got experience of IVF, when is it suggested you test?

Myfridgeiscool · 01/03/2026 08:36

Oh OP. Is this the day you’re due to test?

SuperSugarHigh · 01/03/2026 08:38

I don’t think you’re out, you are still a long way off ‘official’ test day and actually still early days post transfer.

I only had one round of IVF, which didn’t work, but just wanted to send hugs and crossed fingers - it’s such an emotional and physically draining, painful process. I hope you get your BFP.

ellesbellesxxx · 01/03/2026 08:40

It’s still early though? My test date from the clinic was 11 days post transfer so yours must be another six days away?
Don't rule yourself out just yet! I do remember how horrendous that waiting was but it could still be good news xx

heroofalexandria · 01/03/2026 08:56

Still very early! We didn’t get a positive of any kind until 7dp5dt and even then it was very faint. Are you using the strip tests?

PlanBFertility26 · 01/03/2026 10:11

@heroofalexandria was you negative before then? I’m using the strip tests. This morning’s one had a sensitive of picking up 10 HCG which is why I’m worrying

As hard as it is, you need to give it time. I think I wasn't meant to test before 10 days post transfer at the earliest, clinic actually said 14 days. And even then...an early positive doesn't mean it'll stick. I've had two rounds where I had an early positive and once 14dpt rolled around, my period had arrived. Fingers crossed for you...
The result of my sixth transfer is currently snoozing in bed, having a nap.

Frieda86 · 01/03/2026 11:28

Still soooo early. I only got a faint bfp at 7days post transfer.

JTRSOP · 01/03/2026 11:32

Don’t the fertility drugs contain some HCG, which is why they don’t recommend testing early? I could be completely way off the mark there as it’s been a while. I had IVF in 2015 and didn’t test until I went in for the blood test. I can’t remember how many days post (3 day) transfer that was. Actually, I’m sure it was two weeks - had the transfer Friday morning and my test was also on a Friday.

Good luck OP - it’s a fraught time.

I didnt test. But it was super faint so I reckon I would've got bfn.

RitaFires · 01/03/2026 12:30

I didn't test until the clinic told me to, testing too early or too often would have only stressed me out more. You might be still in, give it more time.

Frieda86 · 01/03/2026 12:33

Im sending you huge positive vibes.
