Dogs Behaving Very Very Badly

How is it that the owners on this programme don’t know anything about dog behaviour or choosing an appropriate breed for their lifestyle?
All these people need to do is a bit of research. It’s completely baffling to me.
Do they buy a puppy and think it won’t grow into a massive slobbering public menace of a he’ll hound?

Dogs of the same breed are not universal in personality. My family have three labs and they couldn't be more different from each other. So that makes things a bit tricky to predict even if you know the breed well.
Besides, you can know all there is about dog behaviour but until you get your first dog, you don't really know what you are signing up for.

But none of them seem to know that dogs are trainable. How can they not know that? I think it’s because they want the puppy but not the dog.
