To cut a vintage tablecloth?

I’ve found a gorgeous 1970s table cloth. It’s rectangular and I need square. AIBU to cut it to size?

I don’t know why but I feel bad!

I have several very nice square ones. Just keep it for picnics and buy a square one. They’re not that expensive.

Don’t cut it! It’s spent all those years being a rectangle. Let it be.

why not just fold one side under to make the square, with the fold hiding the rest of it so you dont have to cut it but can still use and show it
