Has anyone used Love Holidays?

I can't get over the prices for the same hotels when compared with On the Beach who we have used previously.
There must be a catch so hoping you lovely ladies have some experience you can share please.

Yes! They were great. Basically they hook the flights and hotel but you’re in control of it . So flight stuff you still need to log in and sort seats out etc. and hotel I got in touch with the hotel directly to discuss and check stuff

Yes. I've had bad experiences. I turned up at my hotel in Turkey in the middle of the night to find they had no record of my booking. Love Holidays use a third party to book hotels for them and apparently my experience is very common. If I hadn't had cash on me to book a room overnight I'd have been out on the street in a foreign country. It was sorted out by the morning but I will never use Love Holidays since.

I’ve used them and never had a problem.

Shadeflower · 21/02/2026 15:01

We used them. It caused some trauma because the flights we booked didn't seem to exist, but they changed the flight times and all was well, as you say, at a bargain price.

TheatreTraveller · 21/02/2026 15:03

Absolutely horrendous, there's a reason they're cheap! Yes you might get lucky (and it would be luck) but most people don't and many people have problems. Lost bookings, lost money, no customer service, LH are no longer ABTA members.
Just read the reviews and that should tell you all you need to know.

CosyDenimShark · 21/02/2026 15:03

I pretty much only ever use them, as does my adult son. We've never had any issue at all.

PinkPoppies2025 · 21/02/2026 15:04

Another bad experience. Spent ages choosing a specific hotel but a couple of weeks beforehand Love Holidays said they had moved us to an equivalent hotel. It most definitely wasn’t equivalent although on paper was still 5*. And because it was now being booked less far in advance, the cost would remain the same. Apparently this is all in their small print. Complete nightmare and I’d never use them again.

Horrace · 21/02/2026 15:06

Well I think that's made my mind up. I wont risk it. I was wary of using On the Beach but they turned out ok. Think I'll stick with them.
Thanks all.

Check them out on trustpilot

Clearinguptheclutter · 21/02/2026 15:14

If you’re happy to take a bit of a risk then go for it
afaik its not an actual package holiday so if say your flight is cancelled you will lose the hotel booking unless you pay for new flights from your own pocket. But I don’t see how this is more risky than diy which is what we usually do- except that at least for diy you’re in control and can speak to providers directly.

Me neither but I always contact the hotels before and log into the flights through jet2 or BA etc direct so any changes I hear from them and not love holidays

Lindy2 · 21/02/2026 15:15

I've used Love Holidays twice. Both times have been absolutely fine.

They aren't a travel agent. They're basically a booking platform where you can book everything in 1 place at good rates. You then deal directly with your airline, hotel etc. It has worked out absolutely fine for us and given very good value holidays.

I'd happily use them again but I know what to expect and I'm not expecting a full travel agent experience.
