Anyone else lost half a tooth from a ‘KIND’ nut bar?

The irony of the brand name isn’t lost on me 😁 But seriously, these nutty bars are so hard, especially if kept in a cold kitchen like mine.
Be careful when you eat one, that’s all I’m saying.

No, but I did lose a bit of tooth while eating scrambled egg on toast.

Your tooth was probably weak to start with. Sympathise though.

JMSA · 19/02/2026 18:52

Thank you. It seems you were unlucky, given your relatively soft choice of food!

Dentist here. It’s very unlikely that a food of any description caused a breakage in a tooth. It’s likely that the tooth was already weak

Once the tooth is damaged anything can break it. I had half my front tooth snap off biting a hotdog. I didn't even feel it happen I just suddenly felt a large lump while chewing and had to fish it out.

PauliesWalnuts · 19/02/2026 18:59

Ex boyfriend lost a crown with one and said he would never eat one again!

I broke a tooth eating a lindt truffle 😂

I chipped a tooth as a child and the dentist put a cap on it - it came off while I was eating a potato waffle Grin

DanaScullysLegoHair · 19/02/2026 19:02

No, but I worry about it! I eat very carefully around my crown.

My DP lost a filling eating a Mr Whippy ice cream 😆

UninitendedShark · 19/02/2026 19:04

I lost a filling eating Thornton’s toffee once. But now I really fancy a piece of thornton’s toffee.

DinoLil · 19/02/2026 19:05

I broke my tooth on a fruit cake. That I'd made. When I was 25.

Not my finest moment.

I'm 54 and have never made a fruit cake again...

NotMeAtAll · 19/02/2026 19:06

I have a gap between my front teeth. When I (rarely) eat pizza it cuts my gums.

Anyway, I was eating some Christmas cake with those little silver balls on the icing and I chipped a tooth. It wasn't even a nice cake. 🥹

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 19/02/2026 19:10

I broke a front tooth on a Solero lolly. It’s crap when they break.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 19/02/2026 19:21

I looked at them as a healthy alternative snack and my second thought was “my teeth” - glad I was clearly right sorry about you though

That's awful when that happens and the food wasn't even worth it 💐

I chipped a tooth on an abnormally hard beef hula hoop when I was 13, I think it had been fried or cooked twice.

Gosh, I haven’t had that stuff in years. It was awesome, especially the toffee with nuts in. Lord knows what damage that would inflict though!

I broke the corner off a molar when I was a student on pork crackling when a flatmate made a roast dinner Obviously it hadn’t ‘crackled’ to crispness, and was still at the stage of being very hard and tough.

Helpmechooseausername · 19/02/2026 20:13

I broke a molar on a crisp! One crisp FFS!
