With an early teens teenager - yes or no?
Do you think it’ll be a good show?
I think yes, husband thinks I’ve lost my mind (doesn’t actually care if I go but thinks it’s funny that I want to and can’t understand why).
Don’t want to ask teenager before I decide myself whether I think it’s worth the cost, in case she says yes and on reflection I decide against it….

My DD went about 3 years ago - her dad took her I kind of wished I could have gone as I reckon it would have been a good show. She is going again this year.

i have done hospitality once - I paid £430 ish I think it was for each of us for Taylor - it was a great experience. That said both my girls were massive Taylor fans and so it made the day extra special for them. I am not sure I could bring myself to spend that much for someone else.

just one thing to beware of- if they are young teens don’t get caught out by the standing age limit.

I’m 60 and I loved his last album. He’s supposed to be a brilliant showman too. I was in the draw for Manchester tickets, but was unsuccessful- boo!

I am a pretty diehard indie alternative rock girl and have been to hundreds of gigs. The Harry Styles one in 2023 was easily in my top 5.

me too!

I took my dd to see him in 2023, she was 10. I mean, I do love Harry Styles as well, and I always had a soft spot for 1D (despite being a 40 something, lifelong Green Day fan), and it was a brilliant show.

We are going as a family of 6. I was very lucky and only spent around £400 on the tickets plus 2 x extortionate hotel rooms in Wembley!

Ticketmaster still have tickets even on Saturday 4th July (if a weekend would make it easier) starting for £200ish. Wouldn't bother with hospitality

Oneborneverydecade · 19/02/2026 07:52

If you're worried that his new music might be different, why not wait for the new album before deciding?
Had you listened to Beyonce's country album before buying those tickets? I love that album but didn't see the concert unfortunately.

We’ve managed to get tickets ours are excited and are 12 and 15. To be fair we’ve just started over the last couple of years started taking them to all sorts of music events - Rob Brydens Christmas thing was epic! Not sure they felt the same! Smashing Pumpkins was also interesting last summer! We’ve also got Luke Coombs booked this year and The Wkend!

bowchicawowwow · 19/02/2026 09:20

Don’t spend 1k on tickets. There will be resales closer to the time via twickets etc if you hold on. Definitely go, I go to loads of concerts with my young adults

I managed to get 2 cheap Premier Inn rooms in Wembley for a concert at the Ovo Arena. Do they bump the prices up for very well known acts?

They go sky high - for Taylor Swift the premier inn we booked in was pretty much sold out within 2 hours of the concert being announced. If you wait to know if you have tickets you have no hope at a decent price. We live in London so booked Edinburgh and Liverpool in the hope we got a Ticket for one of them…..

My husband took our then 9 year old to Wembley -HSLOT in ‘23 and they both loved it (him a bit more I think) We have also seen Ed Sheeran and Taylor at Wembley stadium, no issues at all. We did Olivia Rodrigo last year at Hyde park, we were gold barrier and all was good until about an hour before and the ‘adults’ that were trying to push 2 very excited 12 year olds out of their space got some extremely stern words from us. Muttering all around about how ‘little kids can’t connect with her lyrics, what do they know about love and heartbreak’ trying to gate keep - made me so cross! If you like music, you like music! Wanna get barrier? Put the effort in, don’t try and bully 2 young girls!
Anyway, I digress - returning to Wembley for HS this year. I agree that £1000 is way too much, unless you can afford it. Set some alerts for Twickets, I’ve done this for Raye and bagged some nosebleed seats at the 02 for face value - around £50 each.

I have stayed at Wembley many times I find it a good base for London. Earlier this month I paid less then £50 a night and that included a concert (MIKA, at the arena) night. As soon as the big artists announce tour dates booking goes mad and the fast high level demand drives prices up. If you are really fast you can sometimes still bag a cheap enough room, but more often than not the PI website crashes for a bit for to so many people trying to get on and book at the same time.

I had, and I really enjoyed it but the atmosphere was just a bit flat.

Yeah the rooms were disappearing in front of my eyes! Paid £300 per room. I had set a budget of £1000 all in for the trip but was still 😱 We are paying for the convenience though so it is worth it to us.

Yeah, I paid about £50 per room for dd2 & I (she can't sleep if someone so much as breathes in the same room) when we saw Conan Gray in Nov '24. I enquired about the parking charge and was told "we put the price up for premium acts that are playing locally". I said we're seeing CG & the reply was "yeah, parking would only be £10 a day for him" 🤣. He still managed to sell out the 12,000 seater Ovo Arena ...

For sure. Was my DD’s first concert at 8 3 years ago. This summer we are going twice! She can’t wait
