TO CHOP DH BALLS OFF?

hifi · 16/06/2008 10:18

dh car is outside a restaurant 10 miles away as we both had too much to drink sat night.

we both go to the gym this morning,he goes 7.30 i go 9.30 after dropping dd off at nursery. it is 3 minutes walk away.

he takes my car, parks on "very faint double yellow lines". it has been towed, £200 f!!!

so i am waiting for him to return from picking it up from car pound, we then have to go and see if his car is still where he parked it.

do i need his balls on a platter?

What a crap start to the week! I would be livid...

LynetteScavo · 16/06/2008 10:20

LOL at "very faint double yellow lines"

Sorry.

bogie · 16/06/2008 10:21

I don't think you are being unreasonable at all

hifi · 16/06/2008 10:21

he justifies it by saying he always parks there and everyone else does. hmm so that makes it ok?

What swear word is f?

BEAUTlFUL · 16/06/2008 13:39

argh, I mean F?

RibenaBerry · 16/06/2008 13:40

He took your car somewhere that is a 3 minute walk. I'd be cross at that, let alone what followed...

BEAUTlFUL · 16/06/2008 13:41

Why aren't my asterisks showing up?! I'm trying to do 4, but it's only giving me 2.

Nanny state! or something.

hifi · 16/06/2008 13:44

£240 + £25 = £265

for a half hour gym session!

I think you can appeal against the fine if the lines are too faint to be seen clearly. Might be worth trying at that price!

hifi · 16/06/2008 13:49

agree ribena, by the time hes got in the car, parked etc he could be there, sooooo lazy.

Sorry, but am PMSL at driving a three minute walk to go to the GYM!

hifi · 16/06/2008 13:52

uriel, the guy at the car pound said he should, they are v v faint actually, just charging camera to take photo. i personally still wouldn't have parked.

interestingly he is half an our later in going to the gym today, 8am. he said all the little smart cars with cameras zoom up the road to catch anyone parking before 9.30 am. lots of people park night before and apparently they catch loads each morning.

hifi · 16/06/2008 13:53

exactly rosa, wtf? his car is starting to smell a bit minky as hes so sweaty.

RosaLuxembunting · 16/06/2008 13:56

Well, I think a lesson learned there, Hifi. I would take the 'more in sorrow than in anger' line if I were you.

hifi · 16/06/2008 13:57

my mum just said, "even monkeys learn eventually".

Flamesparrow · 16/06/2008 13:58

lol it is making them bold! you need to do 6 to show 4

Scuff · 16/06/2008 13:58

Chop away - maybe just do one for now, to serve as a reminder for the future?

hifi · 16/06/2008 14:00

scruff, could be difficult as they arnt really defined os 2, more of a merge into one, maybe just s l o w l y.

OP posts:
OrmIrian · 16/06/2008 14:00

Actually 'very faint' lines can be a case for getting away with it. If they are not clearly double yellows - broken or very faint, it is possible to appeal. They have to be 100% clear so that no-one could possibly miss them.

hifi · 16/06/2008 14:01

shit its our wedding anniversary today! both forgot.maybe i could milk this more, had my car towed AND forgot anniversary.
