So we’ve been going out for about 3 months. I know he’s planning to get me something maybe flowers I’m not sure. Is it ok to just give him a card?? I haven’t a clue what present to get or do women give presents on valentines? It’s been a very long time since I’ve had a partner on V day but I don’t remember ever getting the guy something other than a card . What’s the done thing nowadays can you advise

I don’t get dh anything and vice versa, but some flowers I appreciate ! I have actually got him a toblerone this year though

Chocolate or a bottle of wine or smellies? Men are so hard to buy for but if you think he’ll get you something I’d have a token present lined up

I'd get a small gift - depends on the tone of the relationship - something light hearted maybe? Or personal but not too intense.

We don't bother with it anymore, but when we were younger and first got together, we just bought each other chocolate/ wine and a card.

Since you've been together for 3mos, do you know any of his likes? The best presents are somewhat personal: socks are boring but socks with his fav theme (batman? guitars?) or super luxury socks (special hiking ones or cashmere?) are thoughful.

So think about what his hobbies/likes are?

Chocolates and a card, nothing more than that.

Either both get nothing or both get something. It shouldn’t just work one way
