To think a job like this must exist?

Biskitteef · 10/02/2026 21:09

I need to make around £80-100 a week but I’m severely limited in how much time I can be out of the house.

Can anyone think of a job that would just be a few hours a day and that doesn’t deal with general public?

Or am I being too optimistic that these casual jobs exist?

What skills/qualifications/experience do you have?

throwawayimplantchat · 10/02/2026 21:12

How much time could you be out of the house? And would it all be in one go or X number of hours on X days? Are the days weekdays or weekends? All of that info will help people help with ideas 😊

Im a qualified nurse but no longer registered. Can’t really do dog walking, too many in the area already.

Mymumsthebest · 10/02/2026 21:54

Worth a search for jobs with 111?

WongandLynch · 10/02/2026 21:56

I make double that a day working about 3-4 hours. I’m a copywriter. Not sure how long it will last now that AI is a thing, but I’m still getting plenty of work as of now.

TikTok affiliate but you need to put a lot of effort in

Verytall · 10/02/2026 22:06

With your skills, could you do some basic training to do aesthetics? I know plenty of nurses who do this as a side job, doing fillers and Botox. Appreciate it might not be as easy to get work at the specific times you're wanting to do, but it pays well so could be worth looking into?

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 10/02/2026 22:13

Ironing - pick up and take away
retrain to do Botox

rainandshine38 · 10/02/2026 22:18

Why did you give up your registration? You probably could have done a whole host of jobs with your registration that don’t involve too much contact and paid more money.

TicTac80 · 10/02/2026 22:29

I know it's more a longer term thing, but are you able to do a return to practice course (and get your registration back)? Only reason I'm saying this is because I've just started doing some bank shifts to supplement my income (I'm an RN). I know every Trust is different, but my Trust pays trained bank at a B5 rate of £17.68/hr. An 8.5hr shift is £150 gross and £108 net (after tax and pension) - got my first bank payslip today and that's what is on it.

Companion care? With your experience you could pick and choose I think.

How does one get into copywriting?
