AIBU - Chrissy Teagan should stay cancelled.

She told a fucking 16 year old to kill herself on twitter!! Infact - she repeatedly tweeted about this same girl (Courtney Stodden) day in day out. - bullying her and encouraging others to do the same. She also sent her numerous private abusive messages to her - making Courtney suicidal. Chrissy was cancelled - understandably for about 3 years when all this resurfaced. But shes now one of the panellists on Star Search?! Alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar!

For those who dont know - Courtney is famous for marrying Doug Hutchinson when he was 52 and she was just 16 in 2011. Her shit parents sold her off basically - to a man who groomed her as she was a student at his acting school. She was the "Bianca Censori" from back in the day - wearing next to nothing with a pervert husband. She was extremely vulnerable.

How has this been allowed to happen?! Especially when she has absolutely no talent herself - shes a model who married John Legend.

Only consolation is that Star Search ratings are bombing. Im hoping its because others, like myself, refuse to watch this bitch.

Ahh OK, see I actually had interpreted that as a very badly worded attempt to use humour to highlight how inappropriate and creepy child pagents etc are rather than taking that as verbatim and assuming she actually felt that way. I feel like sometimes she tries to be funny and use dark humour to make a point but it lands badly.

I mean, chrissy teigen also took accountability for herself, publicly acknowledged herself as trolling and apologised. She was early 20s at the time, is now 40... I think it's a bit much to expect that to be career ending.

I actually quite like her to be honest. Had to research what you're talking about but I've found her to be quite warts and all. She is tactless at times but I also feel that she owns that and will apologise where its due and I can respect that. Noone gets things right 100% of the time.

I also am not close to the person I was in my early 20s and wouldn't really like to be tarred with that brush for the rest of my life.

"I think she had a termination for medical reasons, so yes she lied but it was for privacy reasons" She actually was quite vocal about this in terms of women's access to abortion in the US and explained that she had a very traumatic pregnancy that required medical intervention to save her life and that she didn't realise that it was technically an abortion until going through her medical notes after the time. I think it's pretty disgusting tbh that any woman on here would even question her motivation for not immediately wanting to divulge the details of that to the press before she had had the chance to privately process her own loss around that.

I think this is a great example of holding someone to a higher standard than normal because they have celeb status and we therefore feel entitled to them in some way.

Plenty of celebrities have done awful things in the past, learnt from it and have done really well for themselves. Cheryl Cole being one.

I think your standards of acceptable behaviour are just too low. Or maybe its because you're reading about the things she did much later than when it all came out as a big "thing" so the sting is less shocking to you?

Do you have children or neices? How would you feel if a grown adult was telling them to kill themselves on twitter and encouraging their fan base of hundreds of thousands of people to laugh at you/join in? Its not even just for clout in public - she was sending private messages too.

Then this person is able to get a job judging others on a TV show. Its barmy.

It's interesting that you interpreted that statement as a joke, is it because she's a woman? When I first read it I thought she couldn't possibly mean it as it came across, and my giving the benefit of the doubt was definitely because she's a woman, but then she also described children's body parts as 'sexy', as well as other stuff that was jaw dropping - especially her advice to a 16 year old to kill herself. She's just a horrible person who's learned to pretend that she isn't.

I read it very much as sarcasm aimed at highlighting the inappropriate nature of some stuff that's on TV at the moment. Perhaps because she's a woman maybe, but that's very much how I read it.
