Someone hit my car

Someone hit my car, leaving scrapes and damage to the paintwork. When I confronted them they denied it then tried to rub the damage away, they refused to give insurance details.
I have photographs of the damage to both cars.
There isn’t a lot of damage caused, what would you do? Would you report it? I’m still shaken from the confrontation, the person was extremely rude about it all.

You don't need their insurance details to report.

Call your insurance company and give them what you have (reg number etc).

Your insurance company will find theirs. I scratched a car (my fault), exchanged my details with the other person but forgot to give insurance company name and they managed to claim anyway. Would have given it if they asked though!
