Chrysotile … how worried would you be?

Had a survey to check for asbestos, as far as it’s possible to do so. They found chrysotile in the attic which was part of the ‘packing’ between timbers. It’s not much, maybe the size of a tiny shoebox. The guy put some foam protector around it to seal it. I feel sick with worry as we are getting a new roof soon and don’t want it accidentally meddled with. I’m also worried about it in general. But I’ve been told it’s better to leave it than remove it. Can anyone help!

Please don’t worry, it’s not dangerous unless it becomes damaged and now that you know it’s there you can tell the builders. Well done for doing the survey before starting work. Many people don’t bother.

@IsItBeesThoughLooshkin i am worried that it’s in other places he couldn’t access? He said it will have been a random bit when they ran out of other stuff on site all those years ago. He couldn’t see more but wouldn’t rule it out.
