Pathetic response from council parking enforcement team

I reported dangerous parking outside my child's school earlier today. Parking on the zigzags, parking on the pavement, mounting the pavement while children are walking/cycling, blocking the pavement for push chairs and wheelchairs etc. but particularly dangerous with the parking on zigzags and mounting the pavement.

AIBU to think this is a pathetic response from the council?

*"Thank you for contacting us regarding inconsiderate parking at xxxxxx Primary Academy school. We completed a review of the parking at every school in the county and xxxxxx Primary
Academy school was identified in having lower levels of issues comparted to many other schools in the county. We identified 70 schools with major issues (high priority) and a further 72 that had
significant parking problems (priority). A further 27 schools had issues that were borderline significant(rotational).
With the resources available we do not have capacity to visit xxxxxx Primary Academy school during the school run. We are attending the high priority schools once a week, priority once every 3
weeks and rotational every half term. If there are changes to the parking restrictions, or the school increases in size we will revisit and reassess the location. If there are no changes then we are
not going to review any school during this school year.

Kind Regards
xxxxxx Parking Enforcement Team"*

But you’d be happy for a council worker to confront them on their own? They’re just people like you who work for the council.

The nursery or school needs to shame them, perhaps without the headscarfs. .

But ultimately we need to stop the selfish parents from doing it.

Your reply is
"Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly, you have misunderstood my original email, much of the parking is not just inconsiderate, but illegal and the parking enforcement team have a duty to enforce parking regulations.
Please could you visit the site within school drop off hours within the next two weeks.

Kind regards xxx

NB if they don't - you just contact the your counsellor and complain/

The school next to me has a couple of staff standing outside to manage this type of situation. If someone parks on the zig zags or pavements they approach them and ask them to move. And it generally works. I have part of the zig zag outside my home as I’m literally next to the entrance. If the staff aren’t there on the odd day, and someone parks outside my house on the zigzag obstructing my drive I go outside, stick a note on their windscreen using butter, asking them to park more considerately. The butter is a bugger to remove from glass without smearing, and I find that I rarely get inconsiderate repeat parkers.

My local primary schools are all on roads which have restrictions driving into them during drop off and pick up times, with cameras at each end and you get a big fine if you drive there during these times. That has certainly stopped the problems!!
