Neighbors odd behaviour

Firstly I know this is a very minor irritation & not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things! But you know, over time minor things can drive you mad! So it’s a small semi detached house, sitting room in the front, kitchen in the back. The neighbors keep their wheely bins in the front under the window, rather than at the side of their house behind a gate like normal people, so it’s practically under my sitting room window as our houses are so close (another irritation as their bins are filthy and a real eyesore against my lovely front garden) They must not have a kitchen bin because they come out of the house to throw rubbish outside constantly and then slam the wheelie bin loudly! They even bring their plates out every time they eat & loudly scrape their food into the bin, even carry tea bags out on a spoon after each cup of tea! So it’s front door slamming, wheely bin lid slamming at least half hourly every single day. I work from home so notice it even more than maybe others would. I just can’t fathom why they do this and feel very invaded as they’re constantly by my front window where I’m working or relaxing. I’m very shy & don’t have the confidence to challenge them directly. What would you do or AIBU and should just leave them to it?

I've got a neighbour like this 4 bins all in a row right under my window.. I'm going to buy some shrubs this year fast growing and there eyesore will be blocked.. I understand the slamming of the bin lid they do this too they are scruffs .. we look after both our gardens put bins behind pur side gate .
Some people just don't care .
Definitely invest in some thick shrubbery it will soon grow and block them out .

FOOD DIRECTLY INTO THE WHEELIE BIN! Not even a bag! 🤪

It has to be more hassle for them than it is for you to listen to

Do what you can for yourself to help minimise the issue eg a screen, fence panel, a bush (NB Hebe grows fast thou can get big). This will block the sight of it and muffle the sound. Also blinds in your room (look for thermal blinds with padding that can also dampen sounds). Keep windows closed when its summer and the bins smell. You could have a word with them but I would do that after you have installed whatever you want to - because if they get funny with you and you have forwarded them of what you are doing they may try and cause issues.

Even if.its pissing rain? That's so random

They’re definitely odd !
that’s more work than keeping a kitchen bin for general rubbish and a food waste bin for food waste like veg peeling , eggshells and teabags .
If live in a detached house with a side gate and my bins are all around the side path out of sight behind the gate until bin day .
If they have side or rear access then why aren’t they using it ?
If you really don’t want to have a conversation with them , then screen it with planting or trellis
