Is he going for 1950s or 1970s look? Me and mister Taytoface are at odds.

Mainly 70's. 70's fashion went through a 1920's revival so that's in there too. He looks incredible and great to see a guy confident to be playful with fashion choices.
There was lots of nice clothes among the contestants and Claudia this year :)

Yes, I agree with this. I've never seen the 1970s Great Gatsby film with Robert Redford but I remember it got a lot of coverage in the press and that may have been one of the influences.

I AM old enough! Northern Soul is 70s, I used to go to all nighters at the 100 Club (which still happen). I wonder if the all-in-ones are a newer incarnation of NS

Davros · 25/01/2026 18:43

Oh, and also Space 1999, also 1970s

Silverbirchleaf · 25/01/2026 18:46

I was thinking forties (apart from fab jumpsuit, and then that’s 21040s).

70's. It's the era I grew up in and well remember the fashion. The men had much longer hair though.

Yeay to Stephen on strictly next year?

No need to pigeonhole his style, it’s his own.
