After three years of misery (bullying, stonewalling and ambushing) I heard today I’ve been successful at interview for another job!!
I’ll keep my powder dry until Monday at least when I hear what references they need but I’m so tempted to never go in again. I laid out my concerns and asked to be considered for redundancy a year ago- my job is almost impossible because of noncompliance- the bullies ignore, misunderstand and stonewall me. I reckon I could wrap up my tasks in a couple of days and there are some clients I’ll miss, but honestly the temptation to leave with byeeee you fuckers is enormous.
I’ve been there 16 years!!!

Hold your nerve until you have your signed new contract. But congratulations!!

Delighted for you but do nothing until you have a signed contract unconditional contract and a confirmed start date.

Until you've got a signed contract you haven't legally got a new job so until contract signed you need to keep your powder dry

You’re all so wise. DH and kids have been encouraging me to walk away. It’s been a fine balancing act for my mental health- on one hand the affirmation of not being beaten, on the other hand three years of being stonewalled/ rejected and all the mind games.
I’ll see how visceral my reaction is walking in on Monday…

Resignation handed in! Two weeks notice as lovely new boss and trustees aware of bullying and I think they’re just relieved to swerve any drama.
SO EXCITED!
I don’t yet have a start date so might have a few weeks to decompress between jobs.

That's fantastic news op. I'm so happy for you. Hope the next 2 weeks are drama free, though hopefully you wont care! Good luck with your new job and enjoy the mini break between 😊
