It's just too light, I just want something a little darker.

Purple shampoo can take out the ‘yellow’ - won’t make it darker but does make it less obvious if that will help? It’s really good, I use the John Frieda one

Maybe try a demi permanent dye?

MaloryJones · 20/01/2026 11:59

Yes. Many toners.
I went level 9 and it was too much.
Now have a Golden blonde thanks to Wella hair mask but I did use a toner first.

That's what it looks at night

Hi basically I went to the hairdresser and said I liked my highlights but wanted more and not as bright.

She said it couldn't be done.

Try another hairdresser as it can be done. It's not cheap round here but of course it can be corrected

Looks fine at night
I realised after years of on and off bleaching, that there are different tones to blonde and different light changes that
ie. I have light gold locks in daylight but in a dim environment it can look orange.
