I reported someone on Crimestoppers

I did it anonymously. It says your IP address is not tracked.

There are neighbours of ours and one of them is abusive and racist to the man next door, who is Malaysian. He's shouted racist abuse and called him names. He's also threatened to 'deck' him.

I am so anxious about it. But it's awful.

Is the neighbour also reporting what's happening? Are the abusive ones renting? Just be prepared to phone the police if anything is directed your way.

The man who is doing it has lived there a long time. Nobody rents afaik. He's just a gobby individual. I feel a coward doing it anonymously but I don't want him starting on us either.

Thank you. We've heard him yelling at his next door neighbour. They live opposite us, in semis but they're not joined to each other. The nasty neighbour and his wife are retired and he's always had a sense of entitlement - he's threatened people in the pub and kicked off at someone on an allotment too. He's just a bully.

Please don’t be anxious. I assume you’re anxious about the man in question finding out it’s you that’s reported him. He won’t. I promise you he won’t.

I reported a racist neighbour about 10 years ago.
I was a student, and lived in a shared student house. An older white man lived across the street and would shout racist abuse at an Asian family with children next door to him.

I filmed him on my phone from my window, during one of his rants at the children next door to him. He saw me and tried to run into our house. So we called the police. They didn’t come out, just told us to lock our doors. They asked me to go to the local station a few days later to interview me all about what I’ve witnessed him doing.

He must have been dealt with by the police because the abuse to the neighbours did stop. He would glare at us if he ever saw us on the street but he never said anything to us or the neighbours again.
