Question about the Blackwall tunnel charge

Please can someone help me with this - I have looked on the TFL website and researched on google but I’m not in the right frame of mind so I can’t understand it:

I just went to the 02 in Greenwich via car, I went through Blackwall tunell but I’m unsure if the area is covered by congestion charge as of 1st January I believe the CC has been increased and 02 is in there? I tried paying in tfl website but it keeps crashing with “bad gateway” message, so I downloaded the app and set up autopay. Will it still be okay considering I just set it up but travelled earlier in the day? I’m worried I will get a fine but I can’t seem to find way to pay and find out what I owe.

As you’ve already done the journey you need to pay for that one and then set up autopay the future journeys.
learnt the hard way when I did this for my mum and she got a fine as autopay only does future journeys.
Did send a strongly worded appeal that the website was not clear, etc etc. I did get get off the fine but wouldn’t advise this way!
Here is the link. I assume you go to the pay online button.

You probably don’t need the congestion charge, unless you went into very central London. It’s the tunnel you are paying for and that’s what the CC signs refer to.

Thank you so much! Do I post just one or 2? I went there and back so I assume 2 journeys?

Yes you’ll need to pay twice.

TfL say if you set up autopay you’re covered for trips earlier in the day. Agree with PP it’s the tunnel you need to pay for not the cc. tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/auto-pay

@Multitrickponythat’s new then! Maybe my nuclear sort your wording out complaint was actually listened to.
