my husband and I have coordinated 2 weeks off together in August. This will be the first time we have time off together during summer holidays since our DC (6&4) were born due to childcare in the previous years.
We moved house just before last summer and now have a much bigger garden, the garden does need some work but the DC made the most of the great weather we had last year with a paddling pool, sandpit and playhouse… we hosted lots of bbqs and play dates etc.
Our dilemma this year is, do we use the time off we have for a holiday (south of France/Italy) or put the money towards doing up the garden, better outdoor toys for kids, climbing frame, swings, large paddling pool and stay home during this time…we’d still do some day trips etc but spend most of the time around the garden together.
which would you choose?
AIBU- 2 week holiday abroad- looking at a flying to a eurocamp in south of France/Italy or similar.
or
AINBU- Fixing up the garden- will be able to use it all summer (& for the years to come) but obviously relying on the great British weather.
