Straighteners from vinted stink!

I got some GHDs from vinted, they absolutely stink of cigarettes. I didn’t realise it was so bad at first so stupidly clicked all was ok so no chance of returning. Thought it was just the case (which I’ve now thrown away) but it’s also the actual straighteners. I never knew cigarette smell could penetrate plastic 🤮 I don’t know whether to just bin them or if there’s anything I can do. Used wipes on them but still really gross. Does anyone have any ideas, thanks

Ugh. I think the only thing you can do is give them a good clean with something like Elbow Grease spray, and put them somewhere like a shed or garage for a couple of weeks to allow the smell to dissipate.

You shouldn't accept the order, dispute with vinted to get refunded

have you left a review yet? If not I would 100% give 1 star. That’s vile. I always put “smoke and pet free home” on what I sell just to give people a little bit of confidence that they won’t stink!

You can put them in a sealed box with baking soda or something that soaks up odours like cat litter
