Going to Doctors with Virus

Why do some people rush to ring the GPs as soon as they feel like rubbish?
Ive been unwell for a week and Im guessing its the dodgy virus thats going round!
I very much doubt a GP would see me in person anyway.

I think many people don’t understand when something has got the point of needing Dr or hospital intervention. It would be useful for children to be taught this every year in comprehensive school in PSE lesson or whatever that lesson is called so it really sticks. That and having less health visitors, nurses and access to additional services in GP surgeries has impacted it.
