Woman killed by ICE

Many Americans are in shock from the daily assaults on our Constitution, the chicanery, the relentless lawlessness and violence within our borders and abroad; Venezuela, the financing of the genocide in Gaza, the proposed seizure of Greenland, the dehumanization of groups of people, some sent to torture sites. The US massacred Native people and put them on reservations, Japanese Americans were put in concentration camps during WWII. Our government has a homegrown blueprint for abuse of large numbers of people.
It's like living in a house with a violent, drunken abuser with no place to run for help. Congress is weak willed. Both parties are feeding at the trough of insider trading and fortunes from arms manufacturers. Tornadoes, tsunamis, blizzards and wildfires are released one after the other or simultaneously upon the American public.
That poor, frightened woman's last moments on Earth were consumed by an unknown man whose murderous hatred was sanctioned by ICE.

he’s not in the way of the car when he shoots, so I’d expect him not to shoot a woman in the head as there is no immediate danger to him.

Exactly! ICE were angry with her for even being there, she (possibly panicked?) slowly turned her wheels & tried to drive away, the ICE guy ran right around her car and stood in front of it & shot through her windscreen. Then twice more through her open window. Point blank. It was an execution of a US citizen by Trump's paramilitaries. Wicked.

EleanorReally · 08/01/2026 20:31

bullshit, as said by the mayor

X123x321X · 08/01/2026 20:48

She was shot from the side. There was nobody in front of her when she was killed.

pinkypoo8 · 08/01/2026 21:47

She drove into him using the car as a deadly weapon intending to cause an injury or death it's all written up in the penal code she was at fault and paid the price end of - it is confected outrage to have a go at the administration and that's what's outrageous and disgusting

backr · 08/01/2026 21:51

She reversed and turned her wheel to avoid him, when he murdered her, he was not in danger of being hit by the car.

what’s outrageous is the trump administration writing their own bs narrative.

Don't feed the obvious troll folks.

Yes this very much so.

Or bots or whatever.

It really should go without saying that if you attempt to drive a car away when police officers of any kind are in your pathway, have already asked you to stop, and will be hit by your car in your escape, you can’t be surprised if they shoot you.

They have every right to shoot you.

You got shot because you were a fucking idiot endangering their lives.

Lots of people get very upset by these things because lots of people are stupid and gullible and there is an awful lot of money and power wanting them to get upset about these things.

The same money and power that wants those stupid people upset by the flawless arrest of a Communist dictator who was trafficking drugs.

In every instance the proper course of action is to do more of the things that upset the very stupid people, because those are the things protecting the actually innocent people.

So far as the guilty people who drive cars at ICE agents, or traffic drugs into the US, or who violently resist arrest and then have a pretty predictable negative reaction to having swallowed shitloads of drugs, all of them maybe deserve a Darwin Award, but not much else.

Also, I know the people irate about ICE shooting a woman who DROVE HER CAR AT THEM didn’t give a shit when Ashli Babbit (not using a car as a weapon, or anything else as a weapon) was murdered in cold blood for trespass in a public building.

You see, when it comes to rights and use of force of any kind, it sort of matters quite a bit if the person is DRIVING A CAR INTO THE POLICE. Just as when it comes to rights and the use of force it also matters quite a bit if the person arrested is the HEAD OF A FUCKING DRUG CARTEL or a lifelong criminal scumbag.

ICE aren't police officers.

Also, fuck off

I understand the point here

but if the thread just ends up full of people lying about what happened and saying she deserved it then lurkers are only going to get one side of the story….and not necessarily the right side

She didn't drive into him. If she did how could he shoot her from the side?

RoastLambs · 08/01/2026 22:07

Soontobe60 · 08/01/2026 19:43

Why was she driving off though? She drove towards one person who jumped out of the way. Again, why was she driving off?

Who knows what she was thinking in that moment.

You say incomprehensible stuff on these boards on a daily basis so based on that I can’t imagine for a moment that in your day to day life, you always make good choices in what you do. But we can’t shoot you in the head.

If you watch the BBC verify footage she was not trying to run the officers over. She was driving away from them. She did not injure anybody. The footage is very clear.

She did refuse to stop. The ICE officer then fired three shots, two into the side window of the car, and killed her.

As far as I am aware the penalty for failing to stop is not, and never has been, summary execution.

NotTerfNorCis · 08/01/2026 22:44

I'm going to guess that the kind of person like the PP who said They have every right to shoot you. You got shot because you were a fucking idiot endangering their lives is never ever going to be persuaded by analysis of the video, which clearly shows the ICE agent was not run over and was not endangered. That kind of person has their own agenda (extreme authoritarianism apparently) and they will stick to it.
