Ex’s new wife

I ended it with Ex due to cohersive control.

AIBU to think it is strange he found someone to buy a house with (after 6 months!) and marry with the same name as me, surname initial and job title? The job is a professional one which is quite hard to get into at Uni.

Maybe he has changed and trying to rewrite history.

About 3 months after I broke with my ex of 5 years, a very good friend of mine called me to say she’d seen him while she was out with her DP and that my ex was clearly now with a woman who looked identical to me, so much so that the likeness freaked her out.

I just thought:

a. Thank goodness, hopefully he’ll now forget about me and move on without ever contacting me again
b. Poor woman, but better my doppelgänger than me
c. Clearly he has a physical type

Conversely, my next DP and now DH looks nothing like my ex, I wouldn’t want any reminders of that person or train wreck of a relationship. I don’t really know what happened to him after that and I really don’t care.
