Which soaps are worth watching ATM?

I grew up watching soaps but during lockdown I completely went off watching TV as I was experiencing terrible headaches and staring at the TV made them unbearable.
I used to love corrie and Emmerdale but had gone off EastEnders a couple years earlier.
I sometimes check in over the Christmas when they have the big storylines but haven't gotten back into any, I hear people talking about soaps occasionally and think I would like to get into something but don't know which ones are worth picking back up. Any suggestions?

Only the classic ones imo ,the modern versions are appalling.

I’m getting back into Corrie after decades away. Surprised that some old faces are there still tbh.
Have to try and catch up online and on here for back stories as no idea who anyone is that are new since I last watched it.
I do watch EE and have done since it started.
Never watched any others, maybe Neighbours in the 80s, but stopped in the 90s

Neighbours! now there's a blast from the past, I remember watching that and Home and away. And the less remembered ones like shortland street, sunset beach and family affairs.

I liked family affairs and did get into it for a while ( around 2002 ?) but it was axed..
My mum liked Brookside! That was very popular once but I didn’t watch it. Someone was buried under a patio once , caused a stir.

I loved Brookside, all these years later and I still remember a lot of the characters and the storylines inc Trevor Jordache under the patio lol

It’s the commitment of a serial long running drama that takes time. I think Emmerdale is meant to be good, but I can’t risk getting into another soap when I already spend hours with the two I do follow.

They are all being streamed on STV from the beginning, they drop five episodes every Wednesday.

Cussons Imperial Leather is having a resurgence of popularity, and Coal Tar is always worth considering 😉🫧🧼

It wasn’t a soap , but Echo beach was good.
The teens in it were very naughty.

Home and Away because it's just 30 minutes of escapism with lovely scenery, and you still have Alf Stewart.

Emmerdale has a good thread on here, which keeps me watching some weeks.
