To ask if anyone knows about mounting TVs?

Bought DC a new Tv. Samsung 32 inch. To go on X Rocker basecamp bed.

It would appear the screws to mount, that fit the TV are M8 but the “biggest” screw that will go through the mount on the bed, is a M6.

Is there any type of plug I can put in to the M8 holes, to make the M6 screws fit? It’s metal so I can’t make the holes on the mount bigger.

Thank you, Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Yes, you should be able to find an adapter that would help. For example, I found this: M8 to M6 Thread Reducer - Aluminium Extrusion - Ooznest

NB this isn't a recommendation as I've never used that supplier, but do you think that sort of thing would help with the issue you have?

2 x Thread Reducer - M8 to M6

M8 to M6 Thread Reducer - Aluminium Extrusion

M8 to M6 Thread Reducers available in quantities of 1s or 1000s with bulk discounts for aluminium extrusion assemblies. Next day shipping available.

Why can you not just enlarge the holes on the mount? 30s work with an 8mm drill, a bit longer with a hand reamer or a round file.

I'd look at drilling the mount holes out so the M8's go through.

Thank you all for the replies.

@CasperGutman

Those were the type of things I was thinking of, just couldn’t describe them! I got some of those and they’ve done the job, thank you so much for your help.

All sorted so happy DC!
