Anybody else experienced this awful virus?

Hello, I’m on day 4 of a horrendous virus and I’m wondering whether anybody else in the UK has had this?

I’ve been experiencing severe stomach cramps and bouts of nausea but I don’t think it’s a stomach bug as I’m doing what people do when they have norovirus if you see what I mean. I’m also experiencing extreme fatigue, have a fever of 38.3ish and struggling to do anything. It’s such a weird illness and I’m on day 4 and am literally no better than when it started.

Has anyone else experienced this recently? I took a Covid test but it was negative. Is the end in sight? Trying to treat at home with paracetamol but it’s not helping tbh. Just wondering if anybody else has had this?

Not those symptoms but extreme nausea, fatigue, dizziness and ear ache here. Definitely running a temperature too. Seen gp, it’s a virus but got vertigo meds

Yep, there’s lots of us. I’m on day 9. Starting to improve a bit but v tired.

I have had it since the 10th Dec and its still going strong!

I think our family had adenovirus over the entire Christmas break.

Like an extremely bad cold. Toddler threw up once and had stomach cramps for a week, the rest of us didn’t throw up but lost appetites and sometimes felt nauseous.

We had raised temperatures but not proper fevers. Snot city, terrible coughs.

We got it when schools broke up and tbh we’re not entirely better - but just lingering sniffles and the odd cough. Yesterday I randomly felt nauseous. So, so sick of it but I think it’s on the way out. I wish it would properly go!!

Oh no, sorry to hear others are feeling so unwell. What’s confusing me is I don’t have a cough or sore throat etc, but stomach pain and nausea that comes and go. A fever but not really high and extreme fatigue and wooziness.

When I had the flu 20 years ago I remember vomiting and having a bad stomach alongside other symptoms. Not sure if flu can present without a cough but maybe that fun symptom is to come.

Sending partner to the pharmacy for advice but I’m still in this much pain tomorrow that will be day 5 and I’ll try and get a phone GP appointment.

I woke up with a headache yesterday and as the day progressed had stomach cramps and then woke up last night with severe waves of reflux, I was a bit sick but nothing major. I’ve had to call in sick to work because I feel so washed out, nauseous and headachey. Haven’t had a bug like this before.

I've had / been having it since a few days before Christmas. Started feeling a bit off on the Tuesday and threw up twice. Cancelled our visit to family as we didn't know if it was noro or what. Felt somewhat better but still delicate christmas eve until my eye started itching and I woke up with conjunctivitis on christmas day. Felt a bit better over new year but it's resurfaced and I've got an absolutely rattling cough and runny nose. Current theory is Adenovirus and it's just hitting everything as it works its way out. It can absolutely get in the bin!

Yep! I got ill with cold/cough symptoms just before Christmas and then started to feel a little more human on Christmas Day. A few days later I got a sore throat and then a worse cough! Had a day where I had no appetite and felt quite sick, but that passed after a few hours. A few days ago I lost my sense of taste and smell 🫠 I’m on day 10 of this illness now and still full of snot and having headaches and fatigue. Longest illness ever!

My friend and her dh both have it, they’ve just come back from the States, goodness knows how many people they spread it to on the plane. Hoping you’re feeling a little better now.

I’ve had it since a week before xmas, lost my voice which comes and goes, worst ibs and stomach issues I’ve ever had, fatigue, ears full/ringing, blocked sinuses but nothing is coming out. Its worst virus I’ve ever had including covid, I think its Adenovirus

I think I have this, awful stomach pain, acid teflux like symptoms, headache etc but I’m not passing much from the other end if you know whay I mean. I had an upset stomach thursday and friday last week but now I can hardly go ! Its really unpleasent

Same here, my digestion is terrible along with blocked sinuses and weird ears.
