Monjaro VS Wegovy

Hi folks :-)

I am considering taking weight loss drugs, does anyone have experienced of them and is Monjaro considered better than Wegovy?

On wegovey - suits me way better than mounjaro. That just gave me awful side effects which caused the weight loss, lots of vomiting and diarrhea will do that!. Wegovey has far less side effects but all of the good things curbed appetite, satisfied with less food.

On paper, Mounjaro is the better performer. I've not tried Wegovy but found MJ amazing.

From my own experience and that of others on MJ in my circle, many of the side effects can be managed by following the "rules" - eat well (high protein, well balanced macros, cut back on sugar/junk/UPF and fatty foods), eat often (regardless of hunger/desire, 3 meals plus at least one snack), take supplements like fibre, vitamins and digestive enzymes, drink loads and loads of water.

Wegovy worked for me but I was constantly vomiting. Mounjaro has worked cosiderably slower, but no side effects

There's a whole weight loss section of Mumsnet... why are you posting in here? For "traffic"..? There's plenty of that in the forum recommended to you!

It’s early days with Wegovy but I’m experiencing the same. Was worried as all the reviews I read said Wegovy was shit compared to Mounjaro. I lost weight fine on Mounjaro but had horrible side effects, it was too much, and then too expensive.

Early stages of Wegovy are looking good, appetite and food noise suppression but not how strong it was on MJ to the point of I couldn’t look at food, no thinking I’m going to shit myself, burps, a little willpower is still required which will be good for the long haul. Fingers crossed it continues.

I lost quite a bit on MJ and then stopped it due to price. Ive put on about 1st since stopping 10 weeks ago (although it has been Xmas and new year, plus I weighed yesterday and came on my period today) so I hope ill be a light lighter next week. I am considering wegovy so hopped on to follow other stories of people who have switched.
