What's it like abroad ? Never been before, so want to make the effort this year to go abroad. What's it like ?

Yes. But when you ask for them, you probably get a packet of Lays.

Actually, not only are abroad plugs different, there's different plugs for different abroads- and you can buy special plugs that cover more than one abroad.

A plug is a plug in some parts of abroad as I found to my annoyance after I'd turned the house upside down, unable to find the adapters,bought more for ££££s at the airport only to find that the Malta version of abroad has the same plugs, who knew?

Perhaps the OP would like Malta abroad? That's a bit like not abroad but with more sun. the same plugs and chips are available. They even drive on the proper side of the road, speak English as well as their abroad language and everything.

Go to belgium. Lots of frites(chips)

Where I live (abroad) 95% of the electricity is green, so not only do you need a special plug but also all of the appliances have to work off green electricity. Obviously when the wind doesn't blow none of the appliances work at all and you need a back-up battery or a cage full of very fit hamsters
