Lighthearted woo.

The night before the Eurotunnel incident DP dreamt that we all got stuck in there and had to walk out the tunnel.

He spent all morning going on about the tunnel and then what happens but an issue on the euro tunnel! How strange. But first reports just looked like it broke down/ resolved quickly.

However looking at the news just now and they were in there for 10 hours and had to walk out! I show DP.. how strange! He’s adamant that’s his exact dream.

I say do you often dream of the euro tunnel? No never apparently.

Curiously woo.

What’s your woo dream stories?

I had a dream one night that my friends mum died. It woke me up with a start at 2:10am. The next day I found out that her mum had died unexpectedly in her sleep and my friend had found her on the sofa at exactly that time. I never told her as she wasn't a good friend and it felt a bit too wierd but it shook me up! I've also said goodbye to two people before with a horrible thought that I would never see them again and sadly I was right both times.

BMW6 · 31/12/2025 15:27

What about all the dreams he's had that didn't come true?

That's the thing with Nostradamus and Baba Venga - all very vague and the majority are unrecognisable as any event that has actually happened. Remember a stopped clock is spot on accurate twice a day.

Well it’s not often he spends a morning talking about his dreams. So this was particularly strange.

I once had a dream I was walking through st pancreas station and was approaching a bar or cafe table where I saw my husband's best friend sitting. My husband's best friend has lived in Australia for donkeys years and at that point hadn't been to the UK for about 5 years. The next day my husband told me his friend had to come back to the UK because his mum had died (unexpectedly)

muddyford · 31/12/2025 18:11

I used to live near the airship hangars in Bedfordshire. I dreamt one night that the then current one, Europa, had crashed. The following day it had.

Weirdoero · 31/12/2025 19:33

Ooo I’m getting tingles. I do believe in a bit of woo. Of all the possibilities in time and space it would actually be impossible for woo not to exist.

Loads of people will dream of airplane crashes, train crashes , deaths tonight. Most of which will not happen. Its coincidence.

Alwaystired23 · 31/12/2025 19:55

A few years ago I had a dream I was in New York city and there was terrible flooding. I was in the subway, but standing on a bridge looking down, as the water got faster. I remember feeling scared. A few days later my mum asked me when I got home from work had I seen the news about the flooding in NYC and in the subways. I said no, but I did dream about it 2 nights ago 🤷‍♀️

Arlanymor · 31/12/2025 19:59

Do you remember on Going Live they used to have a segment where you could write in if the place in which you lived wasn't known for anything and they would literally 'put it on the map' using a prop in the studio?

I dreamt I wrote a letter saying that I lived in West Chiltington and it wasn't known for anything apart from a murder. And the big thing was that in the dream I knew that wasn't true, so I tried to rub it out as I wrote the letter in pencil and everything rubbed out except for 'West Chiltington' and 'Murder'.

The next day in primary school there was a big whisper going around that a woman who lived in our village and ran the toy shop in Storrington (place down the road) had been murdered. I told my headmaster about my dream (he was the form teacher for the last year of primary) and he called my mum to come and take me home. I wasn't hysterical or anything I just couldn't understand it.

Still don't understand it. Poor woman. (But then I come from a family where our grandparents had ouija boards and crystal boards - so being 'woo' isn't weird).

NeverDropYourMooncup · 31/12/2025 20:04

I dreamed about a light aircraft crashing when I lived under one of their approaches.

Eventually, it happened, but that wasn't because of anything magical, I'd been hearing planes at low levels for years, so even though I'd more or less tuned them out, it probably got into a dream at some point and it coincided with one of those dreams.

Yupperyapperyippee · 31/12/2025 20:15

I've had a few woo dreams

When I was pregnant with my first baby I dreamt I gave birth to a premature baby the size of my hands who passed away. DS ended up being born at 24 weeks and passed away 2 hours after birth.

Years and years ago I had a dream that our family dog was on one side of a fence and on the other side was a white blonde version of him. A year or so after he passed away my parents got a white blonde version of him

I fled dv 8 years ago and everytime I have a dream about my ex he gets in touch with a friend or relative a week or so later

BohoGarden · 31/12/2025 20:54

I had a dream that David Bowie had died. The following morning my husband woke me with a cup of tea and said, "God Boho, you'll never believe who has died." I said it's David Bowie and sadly it was him.

Alloveragain44 · 31/12/2025 21:05

As a child I dreamed that my friend's grandma fell down some caravan steps in Wales and died in hospital. I was adamant that had happened and kept pestering my mum. She got so irritated that without asking she asked the friend's how grandma was. The answer was she was well and was due back off her holiday in a few days. By Saturday she'd fallen down the caravan steps on a caravan in Wales and died in the local hospital. My mum was amazed.

PenelopeChipShop · 31/12/2025 21:09

Just in the last week I woke at 3am feeling really odd and unwell, almost as if I was either going to be sick or have an upset stomach or both. It seemed odd as I hadn’t eaten anything usual and had been feeling fine. In the morning my mum called me to say her best friend (who is also like a family friend) had been taken to hospital at that exact time vomiting and in pain. She’s ok now but had a bad kidney infection.

This morning my friend (different person) texted as soon as I’d woken up to say he had a dream he was in a terrorist attack while on holiday - a motorcyclist ploughing through a pedestrian area. So I hope that one isn’t a premonition.

Ilikeviognier · 31/12/2025 22:02

I was on holiday abroad and I dreamed that someone very close to me had died and I hadn’t found out immediately. There was a narrative in the dream about my uncle and family being my family now (my mother was already dead).

12 hours later I got a call from the Uk from a policeman to say that my dad had died in his sleep. I’ve never had a dream like it before or since and im convinced to this day that he visited me on his way out.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 31/12/2025 22:20

DDad (would be 93) his mum (would be 125) were known for being a bit “fey”. (She was the 7th child of a 7th child) and often had very vague premonitions, that, as pp, you could hang anything on if your tried. DDad also had some hallucinogenic side effects of his Parkinson’s medication BUT one night he had a very vivid dream with some very specific details which he found very distressing. It was about a car ferry that sank. The ferry was red, and DM’s brother was interviewed on the bbc TV news about it. Dad wasn’t very well at this time, but was very distressed by this dream, insisted that people weren’t safe and insisted that DM rang her brother to make sure everything was ok. He couldn’t write anymore (tremor) but drew what was in his head including the red ferry. NB - this was the mid 1980s - news wasn’t instant, digital comms were in their infancy, no one had mobile phones in their pockets.

DM did ring her brother. He was fine. He knew no reason not to be fine.

Later that day, news came of the sinking of the Herald of Free Enterprise. Nearly 200 people died. DM’s brother - the one mentioned above - was a local vicar. He was interviewed at length on the BBC evening news. And the ferry was red.

We’d never been on a Townsen Thoresen ferry. We only ever went to Holland on a blue Sealink ferry.

When I was 5 I had a dream and my dad's estranged father came to me and told me that he was going to be dead when I woke up. He said goodbye to me and I woke up upset. I went to my dad and explained about the dream; he reassured me it was just a silly dream and that his father was alive. As I was getting ready for school the phone rang. It was my Aunt calling my father to say that their dad had died. I just have the most vivid memory of my dad's face on the phone and the way he turned to look at me.

Very weird, can you get him to keep a dream diary?

FrangipaniBlue · 02/01/2026 19:39

My childhood best friend and I live around 200 miles apart. Although our lives have drifted in different directions we keep in touch and message each other on birthdays, Christmas etc and meet up maybe once every couple of years if either of us happens to be in the vicinity of where the other lives.

A few years back I woke up early in the morning with this really awful feeling of doom. It lasted all day, actually making me feel sick and all I could think about was her. It was like this nagging feeling that she needed me, so I sent her a breezy text just saying “hi, how are you, been a while since we last chatted!”.

She didn’t reply and the message stayed on unread, I was beside myself and DH thought I was being ridiculous but that night I hardly slept.

She rang me the next day to say that the previous morning (the day I woke up early with the horrible feeling) her mum had found her dad who had committed suicide.

I’ll never forget that feeling.
