Lake Garda in October?

Am looking to go abroad for the first time as a family in October for 5/7 nights. We have a 3 and 5 year old.

I am wondering if anyone has been to lake Garda in October and what it is like weather wise and if much is still open?

in particular looking at eurocamp sites and wondering if will be warm enough to use the outdoor pools.

thank you so much

I've been to Lake Garda in October. We went right at the end of October (half-term week) so potentially different from the beginning of October.

When had five days of cold, but beautiful sun and blue skies.

Two days of pouring rain.

It's was a lovely holiday, but definitely cost and boots weather. There was snow in the Dolomites. No way I'd be swimming in an outside pool.

It was very quiet, with stuff definitely closing up for the winter, but the ferry/cable car etc was still running and some restaurants and shops were open. I think the tourist season closes end of October so you should be ok.

I've also been to Crete at the end of October and if you're looking to swim outside etc that's probably much better weather wise.

Thank you really helpful. I’m going to have a look at Crete now

We went in October and no it wasn't warm enough for outdoor pools, and I think they would mostly be closed unless it was the very start of October. We had a hot tub and a pool in the garden of our villa. The hot tub was great but the unheated pool was absolutely freezing. We had a few days of torrential rain but mostly it was just overcast.

It was beautiful, and we had a fantastic time. A lot of the attractions were on reduced opening hours but most places were nice and quiet so hardly any queues at gardaland.

Lake Garda is too far north for reliable good weather in October.
Crete is lovely. It should be warm in October.
Even further south, we once had a perfect October half term in Malta complete with swimming in the sea.

We were in Garda last October and it was sunny but cold, not swimming weather.
