This is what Christmas is about

Guests gone after seven long days, constantly on the go trying to keep on top of everything…tree down & outside, house clean & tidy, still some decs & lights in the house to keep it Christmassy & cosy, fire crackling away & space to move without falling over each other, everyone including our lovely old dog is now very relaxed, showers had, in our most comfy (if a little worn) pjs, a bottle of red & munching our way through the bottom layer of the ‘fancy’ Christmas biscuits that no-one liked, space on the sofa for all of us, watching rubbish tv. Wish the last week could have been exactly like this, it’s bliss

That sounds heaven 💜

Agree. Spent several days hosting and have now escaped to a cottage with a couple of like-minded friends to please ourselves, drink the leftover booze and eat all the cheese.

Yes! DM has been returned home after 10 days, so now we can play board games, tidy up after Christmas and just chill in peace.

Christmas is what you make it really.

We've had the most relaxed, chilled Christmas again this year and only entertained on Christmas day, so it's been pretty blissful since we finished work on 20th December.

Back to it next week though!

So what are you going to do to ensure you have a better Christmas next year?
