To want another pet.

I know I am BU. 🤣 Just need to get it out really. We have a cat already. She's 7 and loves people but is antisocial with other cats if she meets them in the garden.
I really want a second cat or, even better a dog. Working 4 days means not enough time to give a dog. Current cat means probably not wise to add another cat. But I live animals and really want to add to our household. Husband is very sensible and says no.

Why though? What is the second cat going to add that the first one can't?

Our first cat wasn't interested in other cats. Then my parents found a stray cat in a terrible state but couldn't keep her because their dog was not cat friendly. We took the poor cat in. We got her sorted out at the vet, fed her up and she turned into the most loving and lovely girl.

That said, our dear old first cat never accepted her. Second cat tried to be friendly but the first never ever wanted anything to do with her. No fighting, just complete indifference.

I loved them both but in other circumstances I would have left it at just one.
