To ask where you keep your stuff?

Now the kids have had their Christmas presents the living room feels completely taken over by toys.

I do regularly declutter and have no issue being ruthless with things, and I'm always super thoughtful about presents for DC to make sure they don't get a pile of stuff.

Yet there is stuff everywhere. We live in a 3 bed semi, the main issue is that there is no room for toys in the kid's bedrooms really. I try to store larger boxes of stuff in the garage and rotate but it doesn't help.

I feel like everything we have does get used (if DD has outgrown it, DS is still using it). We have a ridiculous amount of kids books, but again they do get read.

Help! I decluttered today and managed to get two boxes of stuff to donate/recycle but it has barely made a dent.

Why isn't there room in their bedrooms?
It sounds as if you only have 2 dc, so they presumably have a bedroom each?
But even if they are sharing, most dc are able to have toys in their bedrooms.

Do you need to look at putting in some shelving? Or maybe a cabin bed to create more floor space?

I don't even have kids and our 3 bed house is full. We declutter regularly but after Christmas is particularly bad. Do you have a loft? I desperately want to get rid of loads of stuff. DP is a bit more of a hoarder.
