Start of December I had tonsillitis and was given antibiotics. Cleared up after a week. Then immediately after I got a terrible cough, vomiting, headache, loss of appetite, congestion etc. I’ve been unable to leave bed since the 9th December.

went to drs on 11th December as I was coughing up green phlegm and couldn’t keep anything down. Was told it was viral.

15th December my temp was up to 39 and wouldn’t come down, vomiting, confused and just awful. Rang 111 who booked me in for a OOH appointment. Saw a nurse who said it was viral again.

it’s now 28th - I haven’t stopped vomiting, coughing up thick green phlegm all day. Haven’t eaten anything. Still can’t leave bed.

aibu to go back again? Or is this normal for a bad virus?

My drs like to give it 3 weeks to clear up on its own although one nurse practitioner took pity on me on a few days before Xmas a couple years ago and gave antibiotics after two weeks(it was completely gone in less than 48 hours) I’d ring Monday or Tuesday and ask again

When you say unable to leave bed what exactly do you mean? Guessing you're able to leave to come extent as you mention going out to appointments?

I think best advice is for you to call 111 so they can assess and advise as your post is unclear.

DH had to drive me and walk me into the appointments. I have a bowl to vomit in as I can’t get up and down to the toilet that often. If I do get up to go for a wee then I feel dizzy, get flushed and then vomit.

The best thing would be to call 111.
I'm not sure if coughing up green phlegm is a huge concern...I've done this most times I have a cough.
I'm not a clinician though so can only share my experiences rather than advise.
It sounds like a horrible virus do uou have my sympathy.
